The love story is nothing more than girl's juvenile infatuation and older man's obsession. The dialogue is absolutely atrocious, stilted and awkward. The plot really does not deserve to be called that. It ricochetes among all the "edgy" dark romance themes without any logic, consistency or believability. We get smattering of dominance, submission, maybe sadism all mixed up and presented with the depth of knowledge of a 5th grader. And let's not forget a " thriller" subplot, some dark events from the past that also don't make any sense except for setting the reader up for another umpteen installments. So be forewarned, there is no ending or resolution. This book is neither sensuous nor romantic, most definitely not erotic. Just a trashy novel worth not more than 99 cents.
