I gave this story one ⭐️ because zero is not an option. I ALWAYS finish a book...no matter how unsavory I find it... no matter how many triggers or how boring. But not this time. Too many controversial and political overtures. Homosexuality. War. If I want that, I’ll watch the news. Very wordy and descriptive. And I detest horny women at the starting gate of a book. Nor am I a fan of bisexual women who immediately come on strong, reading sexual innuendo into innocent requests or conversations. It’s puerile and unfunny. This story wasn’t even one chapter in when I was already done with it because Sarah, the main character, is standing in a sandwich shop, contemplating how she can end her dry spell with anyone she can nab. Male or female. Gawd…She checks out and sizes up men and women in her lecture class as possible sexual conquests. I mean..really?!? I couldn’t get past the first chapter of reading the first book. I hopped, skipped and perused parts of the rest...and it was unanimous. (DNF..)
